1 | Deadly radioactive water leaking into soil and ocean

Japanese news is reporting that most highly radioactive isotope known to man, plutonium, has been discovered in the soil in multiple different locations at the ailing Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. Even so, the Japanese government and the plant operators maintain there is no risk to human health.

Authorities have confirmed that three different kinds of plutonium have been discovered.

From Kyodo news:

Plutonium has been detected in soil at five locations at the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, Tokyo Electric Power Co. said Monday.

The operator of the nuclear complex said that the plutonium is believed to have been discharged from nuclear fuel at the plant, which was damaged by the devastating March 11 earthquake and tsunami.

While noting that the concentration level does not pose a risk to human health, the utility firm said it will strengthen monitoring on the environment in and around the nuclear plant.

Further details suggest that this information has been known for some time and has been kept quiet until today.

Reuters reports:

TEPCO vice-president Sakae Muto told journalists at the company’s latest briefing that test results showing the plutonium came from samples taken a week ago.

Indeed, as we reported last week, experts believe that the presence of plutonium means that Reactor 3, which runs on MOX or Mixed Oxide fuel, a mixture of plutonium and uranium, is compromised.

There are suggestions that the Japanese authorities knew this was the case a full two weeks ago on March 14, when the reactor was hit with a massive explosion that sent debris hurtling hundreds of feet into the air in an orange fireball.

This report from the American Nuclear Society explains further the consequences of a plutonium leak from reactor 3

Meanwhile, yesterday, officials retracted an announcement that radiation levels in the containment building of reactor number 2 had soared to 10 million times above normal.

The retraction came hours after the initial announcement, however, and was corrected to 100,000 times over normal.

It was not made clear what the error was, with TEPCO reporting on its website there was a “mistake in the assessment of the measurement of iodine-134.”

In addition, new pools of radioactive water have been found in an underground tunnel linked to the number two reactor, sending radiation levels much higher than has previously been recorded.

Hundreds of cubic meters of water is thought to have leaked from the reactor’s core, with radiation levels exceeding 1,000 millisieverts per hour.

At a radiation level of 1,000 millisieverts per hour, people could suffer a decrease in the number of lymphocytes — a type of white blood cell — in just 30 minutes, and half could die within 30 days by remaining in such conditions for four hours, reports Kyodo.

The tunnel is said to be between 55 to 70 meters away from the sea shore.

The Japanese government has consistently said it does not believe that radioactive water is leaking into the soil or the sea. However, elevated radiation levels thousands of times above safety levels have been reported several hundred meters offshore.

Japan’s Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency said Sunday that a new measurement of seawater taken about 1,000 feet from the facility showed an iodine level 1,850.5 times the legal limit, higher than a reading taken the previous day.

New readings from the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency, have also shown ocean contamination has spread about a mile (1.6 kilometers) farther north of the nuclear site, AP reports.

In addition, water purifications plants across Japan have been told to stop taking in rainwateras radiation levels in the atmosphere continue to rise.

The continually increasing evidence of a cover up makes you wonder just what kind of leaks the plant operators are spending more time trying to prevent.

2 |  The Doomsday Scenario: Is Fukushima About to Blow?

CounterPunch

Conditions at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant are deteriorating and the doomsday scenario is beginning to unfold. On Sunday, Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO) officials reported that the levels of radiation leaking into seawater at the Unit 2 reactor were 100,000 times above normal, and the airborne radiation measured 4-times higher than government limits. As a result, emergency workers were evacuated from the plant and rushed to safe location. The prospect of a full-core meltdown or an environmental catastrophe of incalculable magnitude now looms larger than ever. The crisis is getting worse.

If spent fuel rods catch fire from lack of coolant, the intense heat will lift radiation plumes high into the atmosphere that will drift around the world. That’s the nightmare scenario, clouds of radioactive material showering the planet with lethal toxins for months on end. And, according to the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics of Vienna, that deadly process has already begun. The group told New Scientist that:

“Japan’s damaged nuclear plant in Fukushima has been emitting radioactive iodine and caesium at levels approaching those seen in the aftermath of the Chernobyl accident in 1986. Austrian researchers have used a worldwide network of radiation detectors – designed to spot clandestine nuclear bomb tests – to show that iodine-131 is being released at daily levels 73 per cent of those seen after the 1986 disaster. The daily amount of caesium-137 released from Fukushima Daiichi is around 60 per cent of the amount released from Chernobyl. (“New Scientist”, March 24 —thanks to Michael Collins “They said it wasn’t like Chernobyl and they were wrong”)

So, volatile radioactive elements are already being lofted into the jet stream and spread across continents. What’s different here is that the quantities are much larger than they were at Chernobyl, thus, the dangers are far greater. According to the same group of scientists “the Fukushima plant has around 1760 tonnes of fresh and used nuclear fuel on site” (while) “the Chernobyl reactor had only 180 tonnes.” The troubles at one nuclear facility now pose a direct threat to humans and other species everywhere. Is this what Obama meant when he called nuclear power, “Safe and green?”

This from CNN:

“Authorities in Japan raised the prospect Friday of a likely breach in the all-important containment vessel of the No. 3 reactor at the stricken Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, a potentially ominous development in the race to prevent a large-scale release of radiation.”

And this from the New York Times:

“A senior nuclear executive who insisted on anonymity but has broad contacts in Japan said that there was a long vertical crack running down the side of the reactor vessel itself. The crack runs down below the water level in the reactor and has been leaking fluids and gases, he said….

“There is a definite, definite crack in the vessel — it’s up and down and it’s large,” he said. “The problem with cracks is they do not get smaller.” (Thanks to Washington’s Blog)

The news raised fears that the steel and concrete containment around one of the reactors at the crippled Fukushima nuclear power plant could be leaking.

Japan’s prime minister, Naoto Kan, made clear that the work to stabilise Fukushima remains on a knife-edge.

“The situation today at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant is still very grave and serious. We must remain vigilant,” he said in an evening address to the nation, “We are not in a position where we can be optimistic. We must treat every development with the utmost care.”

Japanese officials said further investigations were needed to determine how the three men replacing a cable at the No. 3 reactor were sloshing about in water containing iodine, caesium and cobalt 10,000 times the normal level.

5 | Yellow Rain Falls In Tokyo? Pollen Excuse Exact Same As Chernobyl Yellow Rain Lie

The Intel Hub

While the Japanese government continues to say that the yellow rain seen in Japan was simply “pollen,” many have been reminded of a very similar occurrence after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.

Almost on cue, the Japan Meteorological Agency has confirmed the rain to be pollen after receiving hundreds of calls from concerned citizens.

The ‘‘yellow rain’’ seen Wednesday in the Kanto region surrounding Tokyo was caused by pollen, not radioactive materials as many residents had worried, the Japan Meteorological Agency said Thursday, reported the Japan Times.

That’s right, according to so called experts, enough pollen to cause hundreds to report their findings, rained down on Tokyo at the same time as a devastating nuclear disaster has released high levels of radiation at least 20km from the nuclear plant.

This explanation has reminded many of the yellow rain that hit after the Chernobyl disaster.
Similar to the explanation in Japan, government officials claimed that the yellow radioactive rain that fell in Gomel, Belarus was merely pollen and nothing to worry about. We now know that was a bald-faced lie.

The Kyodo News Agency reports that radiation around the hobbled Fukushima nuclear plant is 1,600 times the normal level. The astounding figure was released to the media by the International Atomic Energy Agency officials on Monday.

Data collected by an IAEA team show that radiation levels of 161 microsievert per hour have been detected in the town of Namie, Fukushima Prefecture, the officials said, according to a report posted by House of Japan.

Tests carried out by IAEA technicians in numerous locations around the plant revealed radiation levels ranging between 2 and 160 microsievert per hour, while the normal level for the area should not exceed 0.1 microsievert per hour, the Russian newsite RIA Novosti reports.

CBS affiliate in Wisconsin also reported on the high radiation levels that will ultimately be dispersed around the world and will undoubtedly result in unprecedented health problems and premature death from cancer. Most of the corporate media, however, did not bother to report the story.

Reuters reported that there was 500 microsieverts of radiation per hour on March 18 at the site but does not explain what this means. It did not mention the 1,600 number.

Earlier in the week, nuclear energy critic and author Hirose Takashi wrote about the media effort to obfuscate the truth about Fukushima:

Around Fukushima Daiichi Station they measured 400 millisieverts – that’s per hour. With this measurement (Chief Cabinet Secretary) Edano admitted for the first time that there was a danger to health, but he didn’t explain what this means. All of the information media are at fault here I think. They are saying stupid things like, why, we are exposed to radiation all the time in our daily life, we get radiation from outer space. But that’s one millisievert per year. A year has 365 days, a day has 24 hours; multiply 365 by 24, you get 8760. Multiply the 400 millisieverts by that, you get 3,500,000 the normal dose. You call that safe? And what media have reported this?

8 | Japan’s Nuclear Crisis Debacle and the Depopulation Agenda
Fukushimi Daiichi nuclear plant – Wiki Commons

Ethan Jacobs, J.D.
Activist Post

Is it possible that the radiation released from Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant is intended to sicken and harm the populations of Japan, Hawaii and the United States?   There is evidence that suggests that the disaster fits neatly into the globalists’ well-documented plan to significantly reduce the world’s population.

The Fukushima Nuclear Crisis

After experiencing a devastating earthquake, resulting tsunami and leaking nuclear reactors, the Japanese government’s priority is not in saving lives and rebuilding Japan’s infrastructure, but rather saving a financial asset of Tokyo Electric Power Company (the nuclear facility) at the expense of the health and safety of the entire Northern Hemisphere.  It has been over a week since Fukushima Reactor 3exploded releasing deadly radiation. Reactor 4 is known to be leaking as well.  Nonetheless, the Japanese government still has not covered the reactors with concrete and sand to stop the radiation leak, as was eventually done at Chernobyl.   The leaking reactors could have been covered and sealed in a matter of days if not hours using aircraft to drop tons of sand and concrete around the clock.  Instead, Japan continues the risky venting of radioactive gas to relieve a new spike in pressure in its troubled nuclear reactors.

While the initial damage to the nuclear plant could be attributed to the Tsunami that devastated Japan (a natural event assuming that HAARP or other technology was not involved), the lack of government action to protect the public demonstrates extreme incompetence of Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan, if not malice.

Contrary to government propaganda distributed by the mainstream media, there is no safe dose of radiation.  Dr. Chris Busby, Scientific Secretary of the European Committee on Radiation Risk, states that the leaked radiation from Fukushima will have a negative health impact on the people of Japan and the United States.  After days of delay, “Japan’s Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency admitted that the disaster was a level 5, which is classified as a crisis causing ‘several radiation deaths’ by the UN International Atomic Energy.”  As Paul Joseph Watson writes, governments have a history of deceiving the public in times of crises:

The same people telling us that the levels are miniscule and the radiation ‘harmless,’ are from the same organizations who assured us that the Chernobyl disaster only killed 9,000 people, when in reality it exposed 550 million Europeans, and 150 to 230 million others in the Northern Hemisphere to notable contamination and led to nearly a million deaths.

Japan is already facing a food safety crisis due to the radioactive fallout.  “Tests found levels of radioactive iodine up to seven times the legal limit in samples of raw milk, spinach and two leaf vegetables as far away from the nuclear plant as Chiba prefecture, to the east of Tokyo.”  California and the Unites States may face a similar problem as the jet stream has already carried the toxic radiation from Japan across the Pacific Ocean.

Depopulation Agenda

This prolonged nuclear crisis at Fukushima may be tied to the depopulation agenda laid-out in Ecoscience, co-authored by Obama’s top science and technology advisor, John P. Holdren, in which he advocated the formation of a “planetary regime” that would use a “global police force” to enforce totalitarian measures of population control, including forced abortions, mass sterilization programs conducted via the food and water supply, as well as mandatory bodily implants that would prevent couples from having children.

The Globalist depopulation agenda has a history of using radiation against populations in lands with natural resources to be conquered.  In her Global Research article entitled From Hiroshima to Iraq, 61 years of Uranium Wars, world renowned geoscientist, Leuren Moret, writes:

The conduct of secret nuclear wars since 1991, through the use of depleted uranium weaponry by the United States and Great Britain with their allies, has taken place in the Middle East, the former Yugoslavia, Afghanistan2 and Lebanon.3 It has been carried out for the express purpose of destroying the public health and mutilating the genetic future of vast populations in oil rich and/or pipeline regions.

Carpet and grid bombing with depleted uranium weaponry in Iraq, Yugoslavia and Afghanistan has guaranteed permanent radioactive terrain contamination. The recent discovery that U.S. depleted uranium bombs dropped by Israel on Lebanon in 2006 contained enriched uranium4, 5 suggests covert testing of fourth generation nuclear weapons.

Perhaps the uncapped leaking Fukushima reactors are being used to reduce the population of Japan, the United States, and Europe, in a manner that allows for plausible deniability.

Conclusion

A few years from now people in the Northern Hemisphere will likely experience increased rates of cancer, birth defects, and other health issues triggered by the Fukushima radiation release.  Most people will not connect the dots as to the cause of their suffering; and, even if they do, will have trouble proving the link and obtaining compensation for their injuries.

Prime Minister Kan and Barack Obama have once again revealed themselves as powerless puppets of the global elite.  Rather that bury the Fukushima plant a half mile deep in sand and concrete to protect the public, they allow toxic radiation to continue leaking which could possibly cause millions of injuries and a contaminated food supply.   Who cares if millions of lives are endangered and the workers trying to stop the Fukushima meltdown sign their own death certificates?  The important thing is that the reactors are eventually saved and restored to generate further profits for Tokyo Electric Power Company.  Business as usual in the New World Order.

The people of Japan and all those affected must hold their government officials, and their global elite handlers, accountable for failing to seal the reactors.

9 | Governments Have Been Covering Up Nuclear Meltdowns for Fifty Years to Protect the Nuclear Power Industry

Santa Susana

As a History Chanel special notes, a nuclear meltdown occurred at the world’s first commercial reactor only 30 miles from downtown Los Angeles, and only 7 miles from the community of Canoga Park and the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles.

Specifically, in 1959, there was a meltdown of one-third of the nuclear reactors at the Santa Susana field laboratory operated by Rocketdyne, releasing – according to some scientists’ estimates – 240 times as much radiation as Three Mile Island.

But the Atomic Energy Commission lied and said only there was only 1 partially damaged rod, and no real problems. In fact, the AEC kept the meltdown a state secret for 20 years.

There were other major accidents at that reactor facility, which the AEC and Nuclear Regulatory Commission covered up as well. See this.

Kyshtm

Two years earlier, a Russian government reactor at Kyshtm melted down in an accident which some claim was even worse than Chernobyl.

The Soviet government hid the accident, pretending that it was creating a new “nature reserve” to keep people out of the huge swath of contaminated land.

Journalist Anna Gyorgy alleges that the results of a freedom of information act request show that the CIA knew about the accident at the time, but kept it secret to prevent adverse consequences for the fledgling American nuclear industry.

1980s Studies and Hearings

In 1982, the House Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs received a secret report received from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission called “Calculation of Reactor Accident Consequences 2”.

In that report and other reports by the NRC in the 1980s, it was estimated that there was a 50% chance of a nuclear meltdown within the next 20 years which would be so large that it would contaminate an area the size of the State of Pennsylvania, which would result in huge numbers of a fatalities, and which would cause damage in the hundreds of billions of dollars (in 1980s dollars).

Those reports were kept secret for decades.

Other Evidence

Well-known writer Alvin Toffler pointed out in Powershift (page 156):

At least thirty times between 1957 and 1985—more than once a year—the Savannah River nuclear weapons plant near Aiken, South Carolina, experienced what a scientist subsequently termed “reactor incidents of greatest significance.” These included widespread leakage of radioactivity and a meltdown of nuclear fuel. But not one of these was reported to local residents or to the public generally. Nor was action taken when the scientist submitted an internal memorandum about these “incidents.” The story did not come to light until exposed in a Congressional hearing in 1988. The plant was operated by E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Company for the U.S. government, and Du Pont was accused of covering up the facts. The company immediately issued a denial, pointing out that it had routinely reported the accidents to the Department of Energy.

At this point, the DoE, as it is known, accepted the blame for keeping the news secret.

And former soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev said on camera for a Discovery Network special (“The Battle of Chernobyl”) that the Soviets and Americans have each hidden a number of nuclear accidents from the public.

(17:02 into video.)

Ongoing?
In light of the foregoing, the following quote from the San Jose Mercury News may not seem so far-fetched:

EPA officials, however, refused to answer questions or make staff members available to explain the exact location and number of monitors, or the levels of radiation, if any, being recorded at existing monitors in California. Margot Perez-Sullivan, a spokeswoman at the EPA’s regional headquarters in San Francisco, said the agency’s written statement would stand on its own.

Critics said the public needs more information.

“It’s disappointing,” said Bill Magavern, director of Sierra Club California. “I have a strong suspicion that EPA is being silenced by those in the federal government who don’t want anything to stand in the way of a nuclear power expansion in this country, heavily subsidized by taxpayer money.”

And see this and this.

On March 15 Michi Okugawa wrote, “The situation in Tokyo is getting worse. The number of people who are panicking is increasing with more and more people trying to get out of Tokyo or out of the country. The nuclear plant explosion is having a large effect in our daily lives. The biggest problem is transportation. Tokyo is darker now due to power saving. As I am writing this, more people have decided to evacuate from Tokyo. I am living my usual life but the surrounding is in a panic.”

The government of the world’s third-biggest economy has been insisting that there is no widespread threat of radiation but confirmed that fresh foodstuffs are now showing signs of contamination.

The double speak has officially started so now we know that the trouble is real, dangerously dark and that we will be treated like cows instead of intelligent human beings. On March 19, 2011 it’s been only three short days we have gone to the brink of an unimaginable catastrophe that does not seem so bad if you read the mainstream press. Only light radioactive showers predicted for the weekend over southern California. Nothing to worry about!

The Japanese government said Saturday the 19th radioactive iodine turned has already turned up in tap water in Tokyo and five other areas. Of course they add in the double speak saying that it’s only “small but safe amounts of” of some very dangerous stuff.

Best way of conceptualizing this event: The largest nuclear complex in the world is now in the process of becoming the hottest radioactive emitter in the world with deadly plutonium in the mix. Very soon the showers will turn heavy and no one is going to want to be in the jet streams path. Already they are starting to measure the exposure to the people local to the disaster in terms of how many CAT scans of radiation they are being exposed to as if these medical scans were safe, which they are not.

Nuclear power plants are really dangerous facilities put
in practical use on stipulation that they can “completely seal
in radiation,” while radioactive weapons commit an impermissible
crime scattering radioactive materials in the environment.
Professor Katsuma Yagasaki

At the power plant site itself, with almost all the reactors and spent fuel ponds in various stages of meltdown we have a super lethal situation that can only get worse. Representative Michael Burgess, Republican of Texas, asked for detail about the radiation levels at the Japanese nuclear plant. “Are we talking about radiation equivalent to a chest X-ray? A CAT scan?” he asked. Gregory B. Jaczko, the chairman of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission replied, “Levels that would be lethal with a fairly short period of time.”

Harold Denton, a former senior official with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission was faced with the Three Mile Island crisis, holding daily news conferences. Talking about the situation in Japan he said, “This is certainly far worse than Three Mile Island.” But the Japanese are not rating it that seriously yet but we each passing day they will see and be forced to admit the more than partial destruction of the northern part of their nation, which in all likelihood include the Tokyo metropolitan area of 30 million people.

There are brave men fighting what could end up being a losing battle against a nuclear Armageddon for Japan and even other large parts of the northern hemisphere. These men will certainly all die so up close they need to be to shoot their water cannon from fire and police trucks.

Some of that lethal stuff is already falling down in “safe” dosages in California and everyone there is being told to not sweat about it—it’s perfectly safe. And even though it can be measured on instruments they want you to believe that your cells will not pick up on the radioactive particles. A diplomat who has access to radiation tracking by the U.N.’s Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Organization told the Associated Press in Vienna that initial readings show radiation has in fact reached California.

But a little is good for you so really don’t worry about a thing. You better believe I am deadly serious that some people will fight for the devil, for the death principle, which is what radiation is. I have seen doctors fight for the right to use deadly mercury in vaccines and most dentists have not completely given up on mercury laden dental amalgam. Almost everyone in medicine and dentistry thinks fluoride is wonderful for the children. Once there were some psychologists who actually went so far as to publish their new philosophy that child sexual abuse really was not such a bad thing after all. No sanity is the watchword here – but yes I agree. Radiation is healthy, going out in the sun, without toxic sunscreen exposes one to healthy radiation that provides the most wonderful biochemical life-giving effects. But we are going to be talking about really nasty radiation coming from Japan and let’s see what the dosages and exposures are in the end.

In principle, using the Atomic Energy Control Board’s (AECB) regulatory limits, we can calculate that 0.1 micrograms of plutonium can overdose one person while noting that maximum safe exposure limits is placed at 0.56 micrograms maximum full body exposure and 0.25 micrograms for lung exposure. “Experiments with beagle dogs suggest that about 27 millionths of a gram of insoluble plutonium would be sufficient to cause lung cancer in an adult human being with virtual certainty, with significant risks probably associated with far lower doses,” report International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War. According to the Canadian Coalition for Nuclear Responsibility (CCNR) 0.1 grams would overdose one million people, one gram, ten million people, 100 grams, one billion people and 600 grams, six billion people.

image

“A rapid release of one kilogram of plutonium at ground level in dispersible, inhalable form would cause a public health emergency of the first magnitude. Plutonium air concentrations could be on the order of hundreds of micrograms per cubic meter of air at one kilometer from the release site. Individuals breathing this air would inhale enough plutonium to cause cancer with certainty within minutes,” said Dr. Edwin S. Lyman of the Nuclear Control Institute. This is the nightmare of nightmares. There is an incredible amount of plutonium in this plant that could very well put us all in supercritical danger.

350 tons of uranium is equal to
about a kilogram of plutonium.
Dr. Chris Busby

The Pentagon has misled the world with claims that its DU is safe. They have lied about depleted uranium regardless of how many of their own soldiers become ill and die from it and from the toxic vaccines they administer in mega doses before troops are deployed into war theaters. The Pentagon has maintained that DU shells are safe because they contain only mildly radioactive uranium when in reality depleted uranium also contains small amounts of plutonium and other highly radioactive elements. Despite the authorities’ attempts at concealment, the truth is out.

Since World War II, accumulated radiation has increased the radiation burden to the global community. Nuclear weapons testing, nuclear power plants, radiation accidents like Three Mile Island and Chernobyl, and terrible nuclear accidents from earlier years in Russia have all contributed to increasing the overall radiation contamination of the global environment. We cannot escape exposure because we breathe the air, drink the water and eat the food from contaminated soils.

When uranium burns into particles, it will enter human bodies
ingested with drinking water and food, or inhaled with air. In this case,
the whole radiation and chemical toxicity will be released in the body.

Professor Katsuma Yagasaki

image

According to Dr. Katsuma Yagasaki, “DU dust-like particles can enter human bodies, and once taken into the body, they will become tens of millions times more hazardous. Newly released data indicate that low-level radiation is more likely to cause biochemical abnormalities than intensive high-level radiation. It is wrong to make light of the hazard of low-level radiation.”

After the “Shock and Awe” campaign in Iraq in 2003, very fine particles of depleted uranium were captured with larger sand and dust particles in filters in Britain. These particles had traveled in 7-9 days from Iraqi battlefields as far as 2400 miles away. The radiation measured in the atmosphere quadrupled within a few weeks after the beginning of the 2003 campaign, and at one of the five monitoring locations, the levels required two official alerts to the British Environment Agency.

Within nine days of the start of the Iraq war on March 19, 2003,
higher levels of uranium were picked up on five sites in Berkshire.
London Times

The Ministry of Defense refused to acknowledge the possibility of any connection between the use of atomic weaponry in Iraq and these readings in England, saying the uranium was of a “natural origin” and there was no evidence that depleted uranium had reached Britain from Iraq.

image

According to Dr. Chris Busby and Dr. Saoirse Morgan, who forced the British government to release the above information, “On the basis of the mean increase in uranium in air of about 500nBq/m3 we use respiration data to calculate that each person in the area inhaled some 23 million uranium particles of diameter 0.25 microns. As far as we know, this is the first evidence that uranium aerosols from battle use have been shown to travel so far.” The military, essential partners in everything nuclear, have been playing with the nuclear fires on the battlefields and the stuff is getting back home. Typical they would not tell us commoners anything about it. Will they tell us when things get completely out of control in Japan?

The shattering truth of all this leads us to the conclusion that radiation travels with ease on the winds and the jet stream long, very long distances, so it’s a big mistake to assume we’re out of harm’s way. Busby and Morgan made it perfectly clear that “the evidence from the present analysis is implicit in the results; i.e., theincreases found clearly demonstrate that the uranium particles are capable of long-distance travel.”

Busby and Morgan continue saying, “Despite many pieces of evidence that the uranium aerosols are long-lived in the environment and are able to travel considerable distances, this is the first evidence as far as we know, that they are able to travel thousands of miles. The distance traveled from Baghdad to Reading following the wind patterns implicit in the pressure systems at the time is about 2,500 miles. Although this transport may be hard to believe at first, the regular desert sand events that occur in the UK should teach us that the planet is not such a large place, and that with regard to certain long-lived atmospheric pollutants, no man is an island.”

After traveling 2,500 miles, if the exposure to the English was
23 million uranium particles, it is anyone’s guess the amount of
fallout that reached the United States. Odds are that everyone in
the northern hemisphere was contaminated to one degree or another.

Special Note on Iodine: Dr. Miller says, “Radioisotopes pose an important health risk to man in nuclear accidents associated with electric power generation due to their uptake by the thyroid glands. Topical application of tincture of iodine (I) was found to be effective in blocking the thyroid uptake of orally administered 131I [131-Iodine] in humans. Abdominal skin application of tincture of I [iodine] resulted in an approximately 82 percent reduction in the uptake of 131I by the thyroid gland. The effectiveness varied among individuals and may have depended on the quantity applied and on the application site. In each study group, elevated levels of serum I were observed. This may be an attractive alternative method of mass protection from radioisotopes of I following nuclear accidents. Serum I concentrations peaked at approximately two hours after topical application of tincture of I.”

Dr. David Brownstein says, “13mg/day of iodine prevents approximately 96 percent of radioactive iodine from binding to the thyroid gland. That is the approximate dosage of iodine ingested daily by the Japanese. This is over 100x the average daily dose ingested by Americans. Please keep in mind it is not just the thyroid gland that is at risk with exposure to radioactive iodine. The breasts, ovaries, uterus, prostate, skin, and other organs all bind and require iodine for optimal functioning. In fact, every cell in our body requires iodine for optimal functioning. Therefore, if we are iodine deficient, exposure to radioactive iodine can potentially result in damage to all the cells of the body. My experience has shown over 95 percent of patients are deficient in iodine. I believe iodine deficiency is one of the underlying causes of the epidemic of cancer of the breast, thyroid, ovaries, uterus and prostate. Furthermore, iodine deficiency is the underlying cause of thyroid disorders including Hashimoto’s disease, Grave’s disease, goiter, and hypothyroidism. Our iodine levels have fallen 50 percent over the last 30 years. During that time, all of the above conditions have been rising at near epidemic rates.”
